Alyssia enjoys a little beach time when we are not traveling!

As Alessandra, Alyssia and I travel here in the United States leaders from the Caju Life Church embark on their trip to Piui in the North East of Brazil.  This is one of the missionary trips focused on making  disciples in other regions of Brazil.

Sunday, before we traveled to the USA, I was at the Caju life church and Edilson (Left) shared his testimony.  I was glad because although I knew Edilson for a few years I did not know  his conversion Story!  I knew him as the Tech “kid” at the church and wondered if he was really ready to embark on this missions venture so far away!

I was amazed.  Edilson shared that two members of his family brought him to the Caju Life Church when he was 15.  He became part of the Caju family, “PurĂȘ”, as they call it at the church.  He experienced belonging.   He accepted Christ and was being discipled, but his family disowned him.   Even the two that brought him to the church had fallen away.   He was alone, but he still had his small group and the church as family.

Now, with tears in his eyes he called his family up front.  Today 20 of his family know Jesus and are being discipled.  Today they are PurĂȘ because of his faithfulness to Jesus and the way Caju Life church embraces the lost and cares for the faithful.   God is at work!  Edilson and Luiz, pictured above, will join the disciple-making team working in Piui this January.

I shared this story with 170 missionaries at our Panama conference as an example of what God is doing in Brazil among the young….in the midst of great political and economic confusion.

God manifested his presence to me these days in Panama.   We have heard that, “Tender Whisper” that comes from our Father when we need it most saying,  “I am Pleased and You are never Alone”.  My colleagues and leaders of our movement came to me after I had shared in a variety of contexts throughout the week and told me that they had sensed the presence of the Holy Spirit as I used my Spiritual Gifts.

We have seen this in Sydney,  Louisville, Panama City, Washington DC and Murrel’s Inlet, South Carolina.  We know we are right where God wants us to be.

Last month I sent an appeal to raise finances to cover our increase of ministry travel.  We are in the heart of our visitation stage of our Home Assignment and have many ministry expenses that we need to raise.   If you are in the position to make a one- time offering  to help us raise these expenses I ask you to follow the instructions below.

We thank the Lord for you and trust that God will provide all that we need in order to do all that He has called us to do!  We look forward to this season of visits to Churches, Supporters, Friends and Family.

Delighting in Him,

Craig, Alessandra and Alyssia
