Rio de Janeiro - Brazil: Urban violence - Drugs war (CNN) 11/25/2010

It took 2600 armed “peace Keepers” to  chase more than 300 drug traffickers from one of Rio de Janeiro’s largest Slums, Complexo Alemão.  Tanks, helicopters and war grade weapons accompanied the police, elite special force teams, the army and the Marines on Sunday.
Caju is one more neighborhood on the list to be visited by the “Peace Keepers”.   Interesting enough Caju already has peace keepers, Disciples of Jesus Christ that call themselves Caju Life Church.    It is their call to reach Caju for Christ in such a way that when the other “peace Keepers” come…They won’t  find drugs…only  peace.
Please pray for Caju Life Church.  They have more than 400 active disciples and they evangelize the drug traffickers regularly.  Pray that the Holy Spirit would descend in power bringing conviction to this community leading to the surrender of the traffickers- not to the force of the “peace Keepers” but to Jesus Christ the ultimate Peace Maker!
